Introduction

    Early in August of 1998 a Ferrari F40, chassis #84838, died a fiery death at a track day at Seattle International Raceway.
    I had the opportunity to observe the remains.  As a loyal Ferrari fan, the sight of $300,000 worth of blackened junk that used to be one of the finest cars ever to leave the Ferrari factory was disheartening to say the least.  I took a roll of pictures, which are found later on this site.   And though I'm not much of a writer, I wrote a small essay as well.
