Pictures of the 400,000 mile Birthday Party and cake!

To celebrate this momentous occasion I decided to throw my Golf a birthday party complete with a cake.  Since the car can't eat cake, that just left more for us!

Here a picture of the cake.  I had it done at the local Larry's Market, only cost me $22.  Chocolate with buttercream icing.  Mmmmm....

As fate would have it, the big 400,000 rollover happened the weekend before my friend SteveJ was celebrating the finishing of his new home theatre by having members of the local chapter of the Ferrari Club of America (of which I'm a member) over to view that weeks Formula One race.  SteveJ is one of the smart dot.com guys that sold off his company before the big tech stock crash and now lives the life of a semi-retired millionaire.  So I got to celebrate the big day in real style!
Here are some pics from the party.

This is SteveJ's house.  It's just a little shack, really...

Here's the aerial view...

Here we are in front of the house.  Gary's 308QV is to the right of my Golf, then Randy's Jag and Stewart's screaming yellow 308...

Here are some of the other guests.  That's Dave's 348 Spyder on the left and Dan's 360 Modena in the middle.  The Audi TT on the right is Steve's wife's car - the car was a birthday gift from him to her.  A gift!  I'm lucky to get a six-pack of root beer for my birthday!  Must be niiiiicccce....

Here's the Golf !

Everyone's checking out the freshly detailed engine compartment...
